What if .....

                   What if , as believers we gave ourselves over to reckless abandon in pursuit of our God ?
What if we tossed all of our ideas , programs , classes , and formulas out the window ? What if "church" was no longer comfortable ? What if instead of a few quick songs and a christian friendly message , we came together as The Church , as The Bride , as a Family to seek His Face ? What if with reckless abandon , we made a point every sunday , everyday to lay on our face before the Throne of God ? What if we didn't draw people in because of a hip atmosphere with free coffee and donuts but because Heaven touched earth every time a group of people in complete surrender to their God came together ? What would our lives look like , the people around us , the world ?

                     Do we love like our lives depend on it ? Does not God command us to love Him first and then each other ?What if we looked at the person sitting next to us , in every face we pass by as a brother , a sister , a mother , a father ? What if we lost our self-appointed labels , our self-made boundaries , and excuses ? What if instead of tearing each other down , we lifted each other up ? What if instead of accusing others at failing to live up to our expectations , we take a good look in the mirror and realize we are also guilty ? What if we didn't give up on each other ? What if we loved till it hurt , till it was a life style not a feeling ?

                    We talk about saving the lost and broken but the reality is we can't even deal with each other , we throw away people like things that are replaceable . We are dysfunctional  hypocrites . We have fruitless churches that stand in disunity . We do not stand in the gap . Every believer was called to be an intercessor not just in word but in action . Who do we stand up for ? Who have we pulled out of enemy fire ? We need to be willing to die for each other . After all , how can we expect Jesus to require any less from us ?

                  Awake , Awake O sleeper , for His eyes roam the earth searching for someone to stand in the gap . Do you not feel the call to your prayer closet ? To His Presence ?

                A person running in reckless abandon in search of their God attracts the eyes of the Lord ...


      Let us therefore come bodly unto the Throne of Grace , that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need . Hebrews 4:16
